Sanders Pace Architecture was contracted by a marketing group to assist in selecting a new space appropriate for their progressive vision.  In addition, the location selected was required to have adequate space for their quickly growing team.  The site selected was a natural light-filled warehouse space in a historic district on the perimeter of downtown.

The design goal was to provide adequate open shared studio and private office space without interrupting the flow of natural light throughout the interior.  This was achieved by elevating a mezzanine within the existing double height space, creating 4 private office spaces overlooking the studio area.  A transparent glazing system by Nordwall is used to isolate these spaces from the open studio without blocking natural light.

Within the studio space a service wall is created providing an owner requested separation between the creative and accounts services departments.  Together with the adjacent knee wall, the service wall serves as a library and layout space utilized by the creative department during informal meetings and review sessions while also containing the computer server room.  In addition, this wall also conceals the stair used to access the private offices located on the mezzanine above.
